Hello I Am Drashti

hello

I'm Drashti

My own journey with mental health was filled with wondering if things could ever really feel different and doubting what change even meant. But it was in that very confusion and lostness that I discovered the quiet power of being met with care and acceptance. I hope to offer the same to you as we walk through your struggles, questions, and uncertainties, and hold space for the slow shifts that help you come home to yourself.

My Approach to Therapy

Core Values That Guide Our Work

These principles shape how we'll work together, creating a space for authentic growth and healing.

Honoring Your Agency

You're the expert on your life. Therapy, for me, is about walking alongside you—not ahead—supporting your voice, choices, and pace.

Curiosity with Compassion

From that foundation of trust, we meet what shows up—with gentleness, not judgment. We stay curious, especially about the parts that feel confusing or difficult.

Seeing You as a Whole Person

You are not just your thoughts or stories. Your emotions, your body, your relationships, and even your silences carry meaning. We make space for all of it.

Being Mindful of Culture & Context

Who you are is shaped by where you come from—your culture, identities, and lived experiences. I hold space for these layers, with openness and respect.

Listening to the Body, Too

Sometimes words aren't enough. The body holds its own language—through sensations, stillness, and tension. Together, we gently tune in.

Philosophy & My Approach

My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in the belief that we all have innate capacities for healing and growth. My role is to create the conditions where these natural abilities can flourish.

Therapeutic Approaches

Trauma-Informed Lens

Trauma-Informed Lens

Healing happens at your own pace. I work with sensitivity to how past experiences might shape your present, creating safety, trust, and choice in every step of our work together.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

We all carry different parts within us that try their best to protect through pain. IFS helps us understand these inner parts with compassion, so they can work together rather than against each other.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy

We look at our lives as stories of who we are, what we've been through and what's possible. In therapy, we look at these stories with curiosity, untangle the ones that no longer serve you.

"We are all broken. That's how light gets in."

— Ernest Hemingway

Core Values & Beliefs

Whole-Person Focus

I believe in treating the whole person—mind, body, emotions, relationships, and spirit—not just symptoms or diagnoses.

Culture and context matters

I'm committed to understanding how your cultural identities shape your experiences, and I approach differences with respect and curiosity.

Listening to the body too

Our bodies hold wisdom and reflect our emotional experiences. I incorporate somatic awareness into our work together.

Therapy With Me

Safe & Judgment-Free Space

My therapy room is designed to feel warm and inviting—a place where you can truly be yourself without fear of judgment. I believe that healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore challenging emotions and experiences. Throughout our work together, I maintain a stance of curiosity and compassion. There's no topic too difficult or emotion too intense to bring into our sessions. Your experiences are valid, and your feelings matter.

Collaborative & Personalized

Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, which is why I take time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. Together, we'll craft a therapeutic approach that resonates with your personal style and needs. I view therapy as a collaborative journey where we're partners. While I bring expertise in psychological theory and therapeutic techniques, you are the expert on your life. Your feedback is essential in guiding our work together.

Growth-Oriented & Empowering

While alleviating symptoms is important, my approach goes beyond simply managing problems. I'm passionate about helping you develop deep self-understanding, self-compassion, and the tools to create lasting positive change. My goal is to help you not just survive but thrive. Through our work together, you'll develop insights and skills that extend far beyond our sessions, empowering you to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

My life &Beyond the therapy room

Me beyond therapy 1

Sustainable Everyday

I feel deeply about living with less and more intentionally. Composting, recycling, reusing; I find quiet joy in the small ways of caring for the planet.

Hands In Soil

My home is full of houseplants, and though a vegetable garden still feels like a faraway utopian dream, I love learning and taking small steps toward it.

Me beyond therapy 6

In The Kitchen

I like the math in figuring out ingredients for turning simple things into cookies. The sweet smell of baking often tempts me to pick up the whisk even at 12am!

Among Non-Humans

I have a soft spot for animals, especially the street cats and dogs who seem so effortlessly themselves. Watching them just be often makes me pause, smile, and remember what ease and presence look like.

Slow Moments

I treasure slow, unhurried time that makes life feel softer. Whether it’s a picnic by the beach or a makeshift one on the floor at home in Mumbai, these gentle pauses with myself or people I love help me breathe a little deeper.
